Thanksgiving Reads Day 2

To occupy your time over the Thanksgiving break I offer you:

The House of Hades by Rick Riodan. This is the 4th book in the Heroes of Olympus series, a spin off from Percy Jackson.

I picked up an advanced copy of Sick by Tom Leveen because it was described as “The Breakfast Club meets The Walking Dead.” This is an interesting twist on the zombie book. In this, becoming a zombie is actually a reaction to a virus or something like that. The zombies crave bone marrow, not brains, in what seems like an effort to heal themselves. The story takes place in one day and follows a group of students stranded in their high school theatre. As a former stage crew geek, I love the fact that the techies are instrumental in helping save the day!
